The visit lasts about two hours; the Palace is still the official residence of the Maharajah of the state of Jaipur.
Then head to Jantar Mantar, a collection of 17th century astronomical instruments, where you will have the opportunity to admire the largest sundial in the world. These instruments represented the cutting edge of technology at the time when it was believed that observing celestial movements could help predict the future.
You will spend the third part of the morning strolling through the streets of downtown Jaipur and visiting the Hawa Mahal, as well as the great gate and walls of the city.
